@crapdragon It’s called Stoke Newington. Technically facing Stamford Hill (road) and situated on what was before 1965 the Hackney side of the A10, but from what I understand administratively the Station was within the old borough of Stoke Newington, though not in its actual boundaries.

@BeckyRLH @realnickperry That’ll be interesting given as far as I’m aware and @realnickperry can correct me, but the council is reluctant to grant A3 license to what is an A1 (retain) site, so not to lose potential retail spaces.

@BeckyRLH @realnickperry M&S were said to be eyeing the site on the High St where Sainsbury’s was meant to go. As far as I’m aware nothing ever came out that supposed interest.

@BeckyRLH @realnickperry I guess before the bank branches closed on the High St, chains such as Costa and McDonald’s didn’t really have a large enough site to consider as apart from the supermarkets the rest are relatively small shops and restaurants.
