@artdirectionk @threecrownsn16 Not disputing the points you raise and as far as I can remember, I’m always told of the 2 hour limit when making a booking in a pub for Sunday. I just didn’t think the time limit should have come as a surprise.

@felixmort Exactly. Disruptions happen on main roads now and then but it’s nowhere near a case of the High St being gridlocked daily as some who don’t like traffic calming measures claim. There’s a also a thing called “rush hour traffic” for a reason, and even then it’s not gridlocked.

@OurEastLondon By the way, I doubt anyone claims there isn’t significant traffic displacement anywhere at all that needs to be addressed, a point the mayor touched on. It’s whether those instances are the exception or the norm, which people disagree on. My observation is it’s the exception.

@willgtfo It closed and the site is going to be redeveloped at some point, though a decision on what’ll go there instead hasn’t been made yet. The 1930s paddling pool was replaced last year with a new splash pad where the Bowling Green was next to the goats.

@SharedGround I agree. I’m there daily and my observation is that traffic flows uninterrupted 95% of the time unless there’s the odd collision or roadworks and then there are delays but that was always the case. Are those infrequent delays worse post-LTN? Marginally at best I’d say.
