The Auld Shillelagh on Stoke Newington Church Street served as the backdrop for a Percival menswear photoshoot, during which it was temporarily ‘rebranded’ as the Percival Arms. The shoot was featured in an article in the Financial Times. https://t.co/agWSjKiYrR

The new northbound cycle track on Boleyn Road is now open. As part of the works, the pavement at the junction of Wordsworth Road and Boleyn Road was also extended, an area that has been closed to motor vehicles for nearly a decade. https://t.co/XzbHEJJ5ax

@IslingtonResid3 Since the LTN, you often see Nando's customers parking on Stoke Newington Church St on double yellow lines, as there is far less daytime traffic. If anything, the LTN has helped their customers find a parking space!😂🤣

@_spez_ @stokeywheels There’s going to be a southbound bus gate in Boleyn Road right after Pellerin Road which would drastically reduce the amount of southbound traffic beyond Newington Green to buses and local traffic. It’s planned for next year as far as I know.

@anne_goldgar I highly doubt an independent can afford a double-fronted unit of that size, let alone in Church Street. There was a plan to split the unit into two shops a few years ago, which would have made it more viable for two independent businesses.

@anne_goldgar Since it is a double-fronted, purpose-built unit, I suspect it is considered more suitable for a chain that can effectively afford two shops. Perhaps they are trying to highlight that there are other chains operating in the area?
